Theme:

"Meeting the needs of parliamentary clients: a knowledge sharing session"

[Deadline extended to: 31 March 2016]

The IFLA Library and Research Services for Parliaments Section is pleased to invite proposals for short presentations for a knowledge sharing, interactive open session in Columbus, Ohio 2016.

Aim and scope

The aim and scope of the session is to share practical experience so that participants can learn from examples of successful parliamentary library and research service projects that have enhanced communication and made full use of new developments in information and communication technologies.

Please share your experience and inspiring stories of how you have helped support the information needs of Members of Parliament and staff in new and exciting ways, how library and research services have been made even more relevant in your own organization, and/or how you have supported your Parliament in enhancing external communication and better engagement with citizens.

There will be four consecutive presentations, followed by an interactive discussion session. Each presenter will get six minutes to outline their project and present a question/challenge to the audience for discussion. Presenters are asked to select a presentation format using a limited number of narrated slides, photographs, video clip or similar to ensure that the presentation is short, interactive and engaging.
